Throwback Thursday Zombie Flick Pick!

It’s Thursday already?!?!

Well, I guess that means it’s time for the Throwback Thursday Zombie Flick Pick!

zombie flick

Dead Alive, originally named Braindead, is a 1992 New Zealand zombie comedy film written by Peter Jackson. The story is about a boy’s mother, who gets bitten by some kind of rat-monkey and dies. She later reanimates into a zombie and begins killing and eating everyone around her.

The movie tanked upon the initial release, however, over the years it has become a cult classic. The website’s consensus is: “The delightfully gonzo tale of a lovestruck teen and his zombified mother, Dead Alive is extremely gory and exceedingly good fun, thanks to Peter Jackson’s affection for the tastelessly sublime.”

It is actually now considered one of the goriest movies ever.

So…looking for something with zombies and humor mixed with a little B-rating and a LOT of blood? Check it out!
