Happy Throwback Thursday!
Today’s Throwback Thursday Zombie Flick Pick is…
This movie was pretty good. The British zombie comedy centers around a group of people who fight off a zombie outbreak, then later go to rescue their grandfather and his friends from a retirement home. What I really enjoyed about this concept is the fact that we get to see both sides of the story, as the movie cuts between what is happening in the retirement home and what is happening with the grandchildren in the streets of London. It’s a nice little play on young folks versus old folks. And let me tell you, those old folks can definitely hold their own.
While some of the dialogue was a little difficult to understand because of the heavy accents (which I don’t mind at all considering I love it), it was still quite satisfying in the blood and gore department. And that zombie baby kicking scene….that was CRAZY!
It is well worth the watch and available on Netflix 🙂
One last note: The opening credits was visually pleasing, as well as the kick ass song that I am now obsessed with. Check it out!
